Changes in the world

Climate change caused a global turning point. Companies aiming to reduce their footprint realize that for Scope 3 emission reductions, they depend a lot on their China supply chains, China being the old “factory of the world.”

Living in China over the past 18 years, seeing change happen in front of my eyes, often made me feel privileged sitting in the first row of a huge cinema showing the “Movie of the world .”China, in my view, is leapfrogging the world on ESG and climate change policies and could serve as a global blueprint for industrial transformation. Few people outside China realize the innovation tsunami is rushing through the country.

To give you an example, did you know that companies nowadays can get detailed ESG and GHG assessments of suppliers in China even without contacting the factory management? The digitization of the industrial ecosystem even allows to engage with suppliers online to improve ESG performance and reduce, verify and certify GHG.

Changes in my life

Having been caught between a rock and a hard place, between China, where my wife’s parents live, and Belgium, where my parents live, I became more conscious than ever that we live in a “world with artificial borders, and that what connects humans is, Love. At times feeling lonely and isolated, I went back to my passion for learning and connecting dots. I combined my learning at MindValley with my knowledge as a bioengineer with ancient Chinese wisdom and modern neuro-tech and developed a simple 3-step “brain hacking” approach that gets you in flow, adding “business flow coaching” to my strategic consulting skills, now helping family, friends, and clients. It’s a kind of “Das Silva on Speed”.

Changes in my career

The interactions with so many great people I met over the last year, due to Covid, mostly virtually, led me to develop the “3 pillars of innovative collaboration” enabling entrepreneurs and businesses across the global to “collabovate”, collaborating and innovating together, identifying new business opportunities through virtual value stream mapping. I am feeling a sense of excitement about the future that I haven’t felt for years. More to come soon.

Reconnect in 2022

2021 has been a year spending a lot of time as “1”. 2022 will be the year spending more time as “2”, being together with my loved ones and people who matter to me. Refreshing my MIQ not so long time ago, I committed to myself to only spend time with the people I want to spend time with, focus on the things that I like doing, and ensure to create real value in anything I do”. Everything changed, once again. My life and career keeps unfolding in surprising ways.

Having been asked several times by Chinese friends how we can bring more Mindvalley to China, and wanting the world to understand more about China, I have also temporarily taken up the role as Mindvalley China Ambassador. My passion is to reunite east and west as Yin and Yang and believe Mindvalley would be an awesome platform for this. We started online sessions with a Chinese core team and will have our first face to face session shortly.
